This meeting is sponsored by the Maine Iris Society. It will be held at the United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave., Auburn ME. Our speaker will be Liz Schreiner Schmidt from Schreiners' Iris Gardens in Salem, OR. This meeting will also include our fundraiser for Region 1, an auction of iris and plant treasures.

All affiliate members (Connecticut Iris Society, Iris Society of Massachusetts, and Maine Iris Society) are invited, along with any American Iris Society members who are not part of an affiliate.

Schedule of Events:

• 10:00 am: Coffee, snacks and conversation; set up for Auction and lunch.
• 10:30 am: Region 1 Business Meeting. This year’s business meeting is very important because we are voting on changing our bylaws for the first time since 2003. Please join us in person (or on Zoom; see the link info in the email sent to members) so that we have a quorum to deal with this important business.
• 11:30 am: Auction of Iris and Plant Treasures. The auction is a lot of fun and provides needed revenue for the region. Attendees are encouraged to donate something others may like. In the past this has ranged from plants to garden produce to iris paraphernalia (books, mugs, and other items reflecting irises and gardening) to quilts.
• 12:30: Lunch - Organized by Maine Iris Society president Pauline Grenier. There’s no charge for lunch, though donations are accepted to defray costs.
• 1:30: Program: Our guest speaker, Liz Schreiner Schmidt, will speak to us about: “Schreiner’s Gardens: A Walk Back in Time and Looking to the Future!”
